Chelsea have offered Spanish forward Alvaro Morata a whopping €9m a year wages (approximately £150,000-a-week) after tax in an attempt to lure the forward to Stamford Bridge following concrete interest from Serie A club AC Milan, according to a report on Sport Witness.
The Blues are keen to add a big name striker this summer after they missed out on Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, who joined Premier League rivals Manchester United.
Chelsea are also on the verge of losing last season’s top scorer Diego Costa after manager Antonio Conte made it clear that he was not wanted at the London club for the upcoming season.
This has led the Italian boss on a striker hunt and it is believed that Morata is the man that Conte desires to lead the line at the London club next season.
Chelsea want to fight off all competition for the forward by offering him the best personal deal and also a chance to play in the Premier League.
