Lee McCulloch: Rangers shouldn’t replace Graeme Murty for the final five Premiership games

GRAEME MURTY will take most of the criticism after what happened on Sunday and that is just life as a manager, especially the Rangers manager.

But I think he should still be given to the end of the season. He has got a chance to finish second and he should be allowed to try and achieve that.

He got put in initially as interim manager and was then named until the end of the season.

It would be a massive knee-jerk reaction to get rid of him with five games to go.

Hearts visit Ibrox this weekend and then it is the final Old Firm game of the campaign next weekend.

In the final week, Rangers face Kilmarnock at home and then have two huge away games with Aberdeen and Hibernian.

Graeme’s side are ahead of Aberdeen on goal difference and are three points in front of Hibs.

These games are so important and Graeme will be determined to end his time as boss on a high note.

I do feel a bit of sympathy for Graeme. I know him, I played with him and played against him and I know what type of guy he is.
