Celtic legend slams player who has been key for Rodgers’ side

Celtic have not enjoyed the best season so far under Brendan Rodgers, with the club struggling to put together a decent run of form.

The Bhoys have already suffered some disappointing defeats in the Scottish Premiership, whilst their European travels continue to be unsuccessful.

The pressure is thought to have been mounting on Rodgers over the last few weeks, however, one of the club’s legends has slammed one of his most important players.

According to the Scottish Sun, Willie Wallace has stated that he feels he could beat Tom Rogic in a race and does not look comfortable when he has to look at the bigger picture.

“Tom Rogic? I have watched him a long time and I’d beat him in a race – even today!” he said.

“Rogic’s a good enough player, but put him out there when he has to look at the big picture? He’s not at the races.”

The Verdict:

The criticism from Wallace appears to be a little harsh on the Australia international midfielder, especially when you consider how important he has been to the Bhoys over the years.
