West Ham offer Declan Rice improved long-term year deal

West Ham have submitted an improved deal to Declan Rice and his representatives with hopes to end is long-running contract saga in east London that football.london understands is over five-and-a-half years.

The 19-year-old star is currently earning just £2,500 per week on his current deal but following his massive rise to first team prominence is now in line for just a bit more.

West Ham and Rice’s representatives have been engaged in a stand-off for months over his new deal and according to West Ham news website Claret & Hugh, have made him one final offer for the season. Should it be rejected, negotiations won’t start again until after the end of this current campaign.

The Hammers have upped Rice’s basic wage offer to £21,000 a week, £3,000 a week more than they offered a couple of weeks ago to Rice which was knocked back.

The teenager would also get a £20,000 bonus for every Premier League game he starts, £10,000 if he comes off the bench and £5,000 should he be an unused substitute in a Premier League game.
