Chelsea saw their hopes of Premier League title glory dealt a major blow on Wednesday, with the Blues slumping to a shock 2-1 defeat away at Molineux.

The visitors went ahead through Ruben Loftus-Cheek but goals from Raul Jimenez and Jota gave the hosts all three points.

Chelsea have recently hit a bit of a sticky patch, with the defeat to Wolves coming off the back of a defeat to Tottenham.

Next up on Sunday is Manchester City, who have won 13 of their first 15 matches to sit at the top of the Premier League table.

And Di Canio fears Sarri could go the same way as former Chelsea bosses Conte and Mourinho if they lose.

Conte was sacked at the end of last season after the club failed to challenge for the Premier League title.

Mourinho, meanwhile, was axed in December 2015 despite steering them to the crown seven months previously.

And Di Canio said: “Chelsea? The opposite would have been better: a slow start and continuous growth.
