Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has heaped praise on Alvaro Morata, both on and off the pitch. Conte has praised Morata's all-round footballing ability, whilst also highlighting his excellent attitude off the pitch. The Chelsea boss claims that Morata is a polite, respectful, man off the pitch and the type of guy who he would want to marry his daughter – hypothetically, of course. Speaking to The Telegraph, Conte said this: I like him because he's a complete player and also he has a lot of room to improve in every situation, tactical, physical, technical aspect, he's very committed, his behaviour is always fantastic. He is a very polite player, I like this, also I like that he's a good finisher, he ‘feels' the goal in every moment, he's very good and understanding which is the best position in the box to receive the ball, to understand where the ball is going. He's a really good guy… It means if you have a daughter you'd be open to have this type of person with your daughter, to marry your daughter! A really good guy, a polite person. Morata has had a superb start to his Chelsea career, with three goals and two assists in the Premier League to [...]

Bournemouth are the visitors on Saturday, with Ronald Koeman's side in improved spirits after the midweek League Cup win over SunderlandThere was a small victory for perseverance at Goodison Park on Wednesday when Oumar Niasse received a rousing reception from the home crowd and returned the compliment with a fine first goal for Everton. There was also no clearer indication of Ronald Koeman's predicament or his club's muddled transfer strategy than the chant of “Oumar, Oumar” that echoed around the old ground against Sunderland.Everton added seven players to their senior squad this summer at a cost of almost £140m. Yet here was Koeman, having decided to withdraw the 20-year-old Dominic Calvert-Lewin, turning for the first time as Everton manager to a striker he told to find another club after 45 minutes of a pre-season friendly against Jablonec 14 months earlier. h It Football is, as they say, a funny old game. Managers are damned if they do and damned if they don't, depending on the fickleness of fans at any given time. One such problem that consistently rears its head is that of squad rotation. With the demands placed on footballers these days - three-game weeks becoming the norm for the biggest clubs - football has grown into more of a squad based affair, and bosses utilise every possible player at their disposal to keep their teams fresh and stars... Are you ready to witness some chin music?? Then you have to turn on the TV when Manchester City will host Crystal Palace. The Sky Blues are currently in blistering form and Crystal Palace could be their next prey in the line. Manchester City crashed a hapless Watford in the last match in the top tier and the likes of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus who share 11 goals between the team this season already, are getting ready for another goal feast. Roy Hodgson's side are yet to score in the Premier League this season and might find it more difficult to score against a disciplined City side. Hodgson somehow steadied the ship by getting the better of Huddersfield Town in the Carabao Cup and if they manage to snatch a point, it would be seen as their greatest achievement of this season so far. Predicted 4-3-3 Manchester City Lineup Against Crystal Palace Defence Ederson got some much-needed rest after a hectic week as Claudio Bravo was called up in the Carabao Cup action against West Bromwich Albion. Liverpool and Arsenal transfer target Danijel Subasic has recently signed a new contract with Ligue 1 defending champions Monaco which could result in him ending his career in France. The Premier League duo were linked with the signing of 32-year-old goalkeeper during the summer transfer window while there have been reports suggesting that Serie A giants Napoli were also interested to take the Croatian goalkeeper to Italy. However, he has now signed a new deal with AS Monaco which will run until 2020, by which point he will be 35 and might end his career after he sees his final year with the Ligue 1 giants. Monaco have had to cope with the loss of a number of first-team players this summer with Kylian Mbappe making a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain, while Tiemoue Bakayoko and Benjamin Mendy moved to Premier League. But they managed to cling onto their talented goalkeeper throughout the window despite strong interest, while also blocking Thomas Lemar's transfer to Arsenal. Both Arsenal and Liverpool are seeking a quality goalkeeper to strengthen their options in the goal but now they will have to look elsewhere. [...]

Chelsea's winning run in the Premier League, which lasted for only three matches, was cut short by arch-rivals Arsenal in their last match that ended in a lacklustre, goalless draw. There was nothing much to talk about the performances from both the teams, except the red card that saw the Blues' defender David Luiz miss their next encounter in the League Cup against Nottingham Forest, winning it by 5-1. The reigning Premier League champions are not having a great time this season, starting off with a defeat in their very first match against Burnley. However, the West Londoners found their way back into the tournament with three consecutive wins against Tottenham, Everton and Leicester City, only to see their neighbours from the Northern part of the city spoil the party in their last of the season so far. The Blues will look to win their next match in the Premier League against Stoke City and get three very crucial points to get back on track in their season of title defence. The lineup can look somewhat like this when the side takes the field in their sixth match this weekend- Defence- The man in charge at Stamford Bridge, Antonio Conte, had to make a [...]

Chelsea will face a tough test against Stoke away from home on Saturday, with the Blues looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League. After a disappointing 0-0 draw against Arsenal last weekend, Chelsea replied well, easing past Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup, 5-1 being the final score. Eden Hazard shone throughout, sublimely setting up Michy Batshuayi for his first and second goals. The striker went on to complete his first hat-trick for Chelsea, in what looked a promising performance from him. Charly Musonda also started and the confidence of his play, combined with end product, was a joy to watch. Certainly, it was a night that belonged to the Belgians. Antonio Conte will definitely want the players to build on the performance in midweek, and look to pass a tough and physical examination that Stoke will undoubtedly give them. There are no new injury concerns for Conte's side, with Danny Drinkwater still unavailable as expected. However, Pedro is fully fit despite some minor injury problems in recent weeks. Eden Hazard is now fully fit and available for selection from the start, which is a huge bonus for Chelsea, and will be a massive boost going into a tough set [...]

It was confirmed on Thursday that Chelsea and Atletico Madrid had finally agreed a deal for Diego Costa. The Spain international was the subject of a transfer saga, which was drawn out for a few months over the summer. Chelsea were looking to offload Costa throughout the transfer window and have now finally reached an agreement with Atletico for the forward. It was at Atletico that Costa truly flourished as a player, seeing him secure a big money move to the Blues. However, things turned sour between the player and Blues boss Antonio Conte, and the Brazilian-born striker has spoken of his relief to return “home”. As quoted by the Irish Independent, Costa admitted that he never wanted to leave Chelsea on the terms he did. It's not the way I wanted it leave, ever. I have special affection for the people at Chelsea. I'm not a person who is going to smear the image. They know the person I am.
