Derby County along with Premier League side AFC Bournemouth are interested in signing Reading left-back Omar Richards, according to The Sun. The 19 year-old has broken into the Reading first-team this season but his contract expires at the end of this season. He may leave Reading for just £2 million, with Derby and Bournemouth in the lurch. Richards, born in Lewisham, was in the Fulham academy as a youngster but was released at the age of 15. He then joined Reading at U16 level. He signed his first professional contract in July 2016. Richards is being tipped as one of the brightest young talents in the Reading ranks. He made his debut on the opening day of this season for the Royals. His impressive performances at such a young age have left Reading's fans excited. They will now be hoping they can see off interest for him in January and tie him down a longer deal. Premier League side Bournemouth are being linked with a move for Richards. Their boss Eddie Howe is believed to monitoring Richards's progress at Reading. Reading's Championship rivals Derby County are also said to be keen. The Rams were apparently impressed by Richards's performance for the Royals against them [...]

Championship trio Derby County, Bristol City and Hull City are all weighing up moves for Birmingham City midfielder Maikel Kieftenbeld in January, according to HITC Sport. Derby County thought they had signed Kieftenbeld on deadline day in the summer but a move fell through after the Football League refused to sanction the agreed transfer. Derby are being linked with another move for him, along with Bristol City and Hull City. Kieftenbeld, 27, started his career with FC Twente before moving to Go Ahead Eagles in 2008. In 2010 he was signed by FC Groningen, where he spent 5 years and made over 150 appearances. He was brought to England by former Birmingham boss Gary Rowett in 2015, who now wants to sign him for Derby County. Bristol City are another club interested in Kieftenbeld. The Robins have made a great start to the season and are currently fourth in the Championship under Lee Johnson. They will be looking for reinforcements in January as they look to push on in the Play-Offs. Hull City are also being linked. The Tigers were relegated from the Premier League last season under Marco Silva and have struggled in the Championship so far this season under former CSKA Moscow [...]
