A host of Championship and League One clubs are thought to be tracking Rangers midfielder Josh Windass, according to Get West London. The former Accrington man has allegedly been left out of Pedro Caixinha's plans for the Ibrox club and has been told he can leave. Queens Park Rangers are reportedly leading the race for his signature, alongside their West London rivals Brentford, while relegated Hull City are also thought to be keen on the 23-year-old, who is the son of Tigers legend Dean Windass. Four other clubs from League One are also mentioned to be in with a chance of signing the player, with Fleetwood Town, MK Dons, Peterborough United and Rotherham United keeping a close eye on developments. Windass began his professional career with Huddersfield Town, spending ten years in the Terriers' youth setup before his release in 2012. After a brief stint playing outside the EFL he joined League Two side Accrington Stanley in 2013, where he made a name for himself as one of the division's hottest prospects. The Hull-born player scored 21 times for Accy in 75 matches from midfield, and it was this form that earned him a move to Scottish giants Rangers. However, he has struggled to find his feet [...]

Brentford and QPR have been linked with moves for Rangers' Josh Windass according to a report from HITC Sport. While Windass was seen as a great signing for Rangers last summer, moving to the club from Accrington Stanley after agreeing a pre-contract deal in the months before, it appears that he might be one of the players that ends up falling out of favour under a new head coach. Pedro Caixinha took over from Mark Warburton during the summer and he is looking to use this summer to bring in his own men, and that is causing Windass to drop down the pecking order in Glasgow. And so the 23-year-old midfielder is being linked with a move away from Ibrox this summer and it appears that teams from south of the border are very interested in signing him. Both Brentford and QPR want to make a push for the Sky Bet Championship play-offs this season and know they need a lot more quality if they want to do that. And while Windass hasn't played in this division, he has shown in the last few years that he is capable of moving up this level. Of course both of these sides will have to [...]
