The first Steel City Derby since 2012 takes place at Hillsborough on Sunday and both sets of fans are desperate for the bragging rights. Wednesday would overtake United in the table if they get the three points. Form Wednesday have not lost at home so far this season. They have won two (vs Nottingham Forest and Brentford) and drawn two (vs QPR and Sunderland). They haven't lost in the league since the opening day. United lost 1-0 at home to Norwich last time out at Bramall Lane. So far away from home, United have won two (vs Sunderland and Bolton) and lost two (vs Middlesbrough and Cardiff). Team News Sam Hutchinson and Almen Abdi are back in full training. Glenn Loovens is back on the training pitch. George Boyd and Fernando Forestieri are still out. Steven Fletcher, Ross Wallace, Barry Bannan and Kieran Lee have all been carrying knocks, but are expected to start. Blades captain Billy Sharp, Clayton Donaldson, Leon Clarke, James Hanson and Caolan Lavery all missed the previous match, meaning Ched Evans was the only recognised striker. The FA took no further action against Paul Coutts, so he is available for selection. Head to Head Both teams have won 48 times with 44 of the matches [...]

In the transfer window a centre-back was a high priority for Carlos Carvalhal and Sheffield Wednesday. After looking at over 200 players, they signed Joost van Aken from SC Heerenveen. The six foot five former Holland Under-21 international has started all three games since arriving at the club and his performances have impressed the Owls fans. As well as being strong defensively, Joost has a range of passing any midfielder would die for. He played an unbelievable 40-yard pass to put Steven Fletcher through on goal against Cardiff and was instrumental in the Owls goal. Following his burst from the back, he sent Adam Reach down the left-wing and from that Gary Hooper put the Owls ahead. As well as his passing, his sheer height is a threat from set-pieces and will have defenders trembling across the league. He is yet to keep a clean sheet in his three appearances, but his partnership with Tom Lees has grown game-by-game. The fact Van Aken speaks good English helps the pair too. On his debut, he was at fault for the goal Wednesday conceded as he jumped in for a tackle, instead of staying on his feet. Other than that he has not put a foot wrong [...]
