First published by sportwitness.co.uk Just when you thought the Amadou Diawara to Wolverhampton story had finally disappeared for good, someone brings it back from the dead. This time it's RAI's Ciro Venerato who is the culprit, speaking to CalcioNapoli24, explaining Jorge Mendes had taken the matter into his own hands to try and get a deal over the line. The journalist told the website the super agent had offered Napoli ‘€30m' for the Guinea international in order to move him to Molineux, yet it isn't the club who said no. Despite starting just seven games under Carlo Ancelotti this season, the [...]

As reported by tbrfootball.com, Wolverhampton Wanderers can't afford to lose defender Conor Coady amid reported interest from two Premier League clubs. According to the Daily Mail, both Arsenal and Liverpool have scouted the 25-year-old this season and he's on their transfer radar. It is understood that the centre-back's current deal at Molineux is due to expire in 2021, but the club are looking at extending his contract and giving him a pay rise to match the club's top earners. Wolves need to make sure they nail the contract talks and not give him a reason to want to leave, especially with such attractive clubs [...]

from vitalfootball.co.uk Following Monday evening's disappointing 3-0 defeat to Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side at the Etihad Stadium, Wolverhampton Wanderers do have a small crumb of comfort following the defeat. With all eyes turning to this coming weekend's clash with Leicester City in the early kickoff slot on Saturday at the Molineux, whilst Willy Boly will be missing from the game following his straight red card inside of the opening 20 minutes of the tie, his automatic suspension means he's the only player – at least at the moment – who will be missing from head coach Nuno Espirito Santo's plans for [...]

from vitalfootball.co.uk Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with a move for out of favour Stoke City fullback Moritz Bauer. Sky Sports claimed yesterday that we were in talks with the defender over a potential loan (presumably to buy) deal this January transfer window as the club had identifed him as the man to play back up to Matt Doherty in our backline. #wwfc are in talks with #scfc over poss deal for full back Mauritz Bauer. Likelihood is that it will be a loan deal for the rest of this season. But it's something of a surprise – Bauer hasn't played for Stoke [...]

as reported by mirror.co.uk. Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero have been told they must fight to reclaim their Manchester City places. De Bruyne and Aguero, two of City's most influential players, started Monday's 3-0 win over Wolves on the bench as Pep Guardiola's side kept up the pressure on Premier League leaders Liverpool. Bernardo Silva took De Bruyne's place during the Belgium international's two injury lay-offs this season, while Gabriel Jesus has plundered seven goals in three games to keep his spot ahead of Aguero, who has recovered from illness. As reported by madaboutepl.net Wolverhampton Wanderers are ready to rival Chelsea for the services of £50m-rated Callum Wilson – as reported by Birmingham Mail. The Premier League new boys are keen to sign a new attacker, who can provide competition for Raul Jimenez, with the Bournemouth striker believed to be one of the leading targets. Callum Wilson: A smart choice by Nuno Espirito Santo? Although Wilson was recognised as a prolific scorer ever since Bournemouth's promotion to the top flight, the 26-year-old has performed at a whole new level this season, scoring nine goals in 20 matches while providing six assists, [...]
